UVX

Our new range of pre-calibrated Video Extensometers - UVX 300 series - build on the foundations of the 100 and 200 series and will be available from late summer 2019. These modules are smaller, lighter and more capable. They compensate for out of plane movement, reflective surfaces and lighting changes. These modules are smaller, lighter and more capable. They compensate for all types of out of plane movement, reflective surfaces and lighting changes.

UVX is powered by our image processing and computer vision software, Video GaugeTM, and is characterised by its resolution, accuracy and versatility. The Modules are designed for ease of use and throughput speed in high volume test environments. This is your ideal extensometer for busy material testing facilities. The new modules mitigate out-of-plane movement, an important factor in almost all low strain material testing with video extensometers.

Extremely capable modular system

UVX modules offer the highest resolution and accuracy anywhere. They are built with 3D technology that ensures the highest accuracy, irrespective of where they are mounted relative to the test specimen. This simplifies setup, with no fine adjustment required. Every module is shipped with a traceable validation block that enables you to quickly verify the accuracy of the module as often as you like. All modules are capable of bi-axial measurement, and come with a stamp and ink for simplicity of specimen marking.

Our latest 300 series modules allow precision measurements down to 0.01% strain, even for those options that are also suitable for high elongation. All modules are suited to determining modulus, Poisson’s ratio, and other low-strain material properties such as R and N values, for almost all materials including metals composites, plastics, rubbers and ceramics. It is also suitable for polymers and elastomers. The system mitigates out-of-plane movement, an important factor in almost all low strain material testing with video extensometers.
